Programs & Activities

Non-commercial educational initiatives serving students, families, and educators

Every programme below is delivered as a public-benefit activity of the association. Participation is free of charge and funded through voluntary contributions, civic grants, and volunteer effort.

Core Initiatives

Four continuing programme areas

Programme 01

Public Academic Mobility & University Guidance Workshops

Conducting structured, free-to-attend community seminars explaining European degree structures, credit transfers (ECTS), and application frameworks.

Each workshop cycle walks participants through the architecture of the European Higher Education Area: the three-cycle degree system, the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), the Diploma Supplement, and the recognition of foreign qualifications through the national ENIC/NARIC channel in Latvia.

Sessions are delivered in plain language, in Latvian, English, and — where volunteers are available — Russian, with printed handouts and a question period. Participants receive an application-planning timeline covering entry requirements, document legalisation, translation, deadlines, and health-insurance and residence formalities.

No institution pays to be represented in our materials, and no participant is referred to a paid service. Attendance is free and open to students, parents, teachers, and career counsellors.

Programme 02

Intercultural Readiness & Language Integration Circles

Organizing cultural orientation programs and peer-to-peer language exchange groups to help international students integrate into Latvian civic life.

Integration circles meet regularly in small, facilitated groups pairing newly arrived international students with local peers. Conversation practice is combined with practical civic orientation: registering a place of residence, understanding public services, using regional transport, and participating in local cultural life.

Cultural orientation modules address adjustment stress, academic-culture differences such as seminar participation and academic honesty expectations, and the everyday realities of studying far from home.

Facilitators are trained volunteers; all circles operate under a shared code of respectful conduct and confidentiality.

Programme 03

Scholarship Awareness & Educational Grant Orientation

Distributing educational guidebooks and hosting informational webinars on non-commercial mobility grants, Erasmus+ initiatives, and merit scholarships.

We publish and freely distribute plain-language guidebooks explaining how publicly funded mobility instruments work, including Erasmus+ study and traineeship mobility, state scholarships, municipal support schemes, and merit- and needs-based awards offered directly by universities.

Webinars cover eligibility criteria, motivation-letter structure, reference letters, budget planning, and the ethical boundaries of application support — we help applicants prepare their own materials and never write them on their behalf.

Particular attention is given to applicants from lower-income households, rural municipalities, and families with no prior experience of higher education abroad.

Programme 04

Youth Empowerment & Global Citizenship Seminars

Partnering with local secondary schools and civic centers to inspire young minds, develop critical thinking, and build cross-border career skills.

Seminars are hosted in cooperation with secondary schools, youth centres, and municipal libraries. Sessions combine guided discussion, small-group tasks, and reflection on democratic participation, media literacy, sustainability, and intercultural respect.

A practical skills strand introduces students to CV and portfolio preparation for international contexts, interview practice, and the language of transferable competences used across European labour markets.

Schools and civic institutions may request a seminar at no cost; we ask only for a suitable room and an agreed date.
