Accessibility Statement

A formal commitment to maintaining digital accessibility standards for visitors of all abilities.

1. Our commitment

Starptautiskās Izglītības Konsultanti is committed to ensuring that this website and our public educational activities are usable by everyone, including people with visual, hearing, motor, cognitive, or learning disabilities. Accessibility is an extension of our statutory purpose: equitable access to education means equitable access to information about it.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance level AA.

2. Measures taken

  • Semantic HTML structure with a single main landmark and a logical heading hierarchy on every page.
  • Text and interface colours selected to meet AA contrast ratios in the published colour system.
  • Full keyboard operability with a clearly visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
  • Descriptive link text and accessible names for all buttons, including icon-only controls.
  • Form fields with permanently associated visible labels and text-based error messages, never colour alone.
  • Responsive layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling and remain usable at 200% text zoom.
  • No automatically playing media, flashing content, or motion that cannot be avoided.
  • No decorative synthetic imagery: information is conveyed in text and structured containers that assistive technology can read.

3. Accessibility of our in-person activities

  • Venues for public workshops are selected with step-free access wherever available.
  • Printed handouts can be supplied in large print or as accessible digital documents on request.
  • Participants may bring a support person or assistant at no charge.
  • Advance notice of specific requirements allows us to arrange seating, hearing support, or written materials.

4. Known limitations

Some documents published by third parties, such as official programme forms or university brochures we link to, may not meet the same accessibility standard. Where such a document is essential to participation, we will provide the relevant information in an accessible format on request.

5. Feedback and reporting a barrier

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this website or at one of our events, please tell us. Write to info@studyabroadconsultants.guru or call +371 20885489, describing the page or activity concerned and the difficulty you experienced. We acknowledge accessibility reports within five working days and aim to resolve confirmed barriers promptly.
