Governance & Leadership
Starptautiskās Izglītības Konsultanti is directed by an elected Executive Board of the association, accountable to the General Meeting of Members in accordance with the Associations and Foundations Law of the Republic of Latvia (Biedrību un nodibinājumu likums). The Board holds responsibility for the annual programme plan, the approval of the annual report and financial statements submitted to the State Revenue Service, and the oversight of all public educational activities carried out in the association's name.
Programme direction is informed by an Academic Advisory Council composed of volunteer education specialists, former international students, secondary-school career counsellors, and higher-education administrators. The Council reviews the accuracy and neutrality of all published guidance material, ensuring that no advice given to a student is influenced by a commercial relationship with any institution, recruiter, or agency.
A designated Legal and Compliance Lead maintains the association's statutory records, supervises adherence to the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and Latvian national privacy law, and manages correspondence with the Register of Enterprises. Conflict of interest declarations are collected annually from all board members, advisors, and volunteers, and any declared interest excludes that person from related decision-making.
Members, beneficiaries, partner institutions, and verification bodies may request organizational documentation — including the statutes, board composition, and annual activity report — by writing to info@studyabroadconsultants.guru.
